Somewhere in the steamy jungles of the south...

So, me and a buddy are looking at trying out the KoW ruleset a spin some weekend, and I have a few quick questions:

1: What army lists do I need to print? I play Orcs and Goblins in WHFB, and he plays WoC. I run a couple blocks of regular Boyz, a block of Savages, a block of Black Orcs, a couple blocks of Night Goblins, a Doom Diver, a BSB, a Black Orc lord, a basic Orc Warboss, and 2-3 Night Goblin Shaman. He runs Marauders, a Hellcannon, lots of Chaos Warriors, and lots of Chaos Knights, a Chaos Altar, and an assortment of characters. Are there any lists that would cover all of these units?

2: Are there any fan-made rules that expand magic in KoW? It seems fairly limited in the "vanilla" rules, which is a shame as I really love magic and like it to be a key part of any fantasy-themed games I play.

Thanks!

Magic, as-is, is a feature of KoW. It's part of what differentiates the game from WHFB's style.
There are some fan-made things but I think most are on Mantic forums or via internet searches.

Orcs list will be pretty easy to use as its written.

The Chaos has no direct counterpart. Evil humans would probably be close esp. if he goes Knight heavy. The cool thing is you can mix and match units from different 'armies'.
EDIT: Checked the Abyssal Dwarves list and the Humans. You may want to try some of the Abyssal Dwarf cavalry and possibly use the Ogres (they're part of Human armies) rules for 40mm bases Chaos troops.

For each warmachine and a hero/monster from Army X you must have a minimum sized infantry (20), large infantry, cavalry (10) or large cavalry included.

For example, if I wanted to have dwarf cannons in my mostly elf army, I would have to field at least one dwarf unit of appropriate size (e.g., a 20 man shieldbreaker unit). That 20 man unit would unlock a dwarf warmachine AND a hero (or monster). If I wanted a second cannon, I'd have to include another minimum sized dwarf unit.

Here's also a fan list for WOC: http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?308358-Warriors-of-Chaos-list

Here's some fan rules for more in-depth magic (Starting on page 14): https://ironwatch.wordpress.com/2012/12/01/ironwatch-magazine-issue-04/

In addition, you should be able to ally as an Orc army with the Goblins army as well (The main restriction there is a Solid Orc unit can't be counted to buy a Goblin Hero/War Machine, and vice versa)

Imagine the feeling when you position your tanks, engines idling, landing gear deployed for a low profile, with firing solutions along a key bottleneck. Then some fether lands a dreadnought behind them in a giant heat shielded coke can.
