So I was looking through Necron codex last night and realized I could make a fun list that includes a large number of blast and large blast templates in it. Maxing out, I could run about 10 large blasts and 15-20 small blasts shots per turn. While the AP on my blast weapons (sans the Doomsday Cannon) are AP4 or worse, I can see it working decently for xenos armies although a bit redundant given the general volley of fire my Necrons put out normally.

Regardless of army though - do you feel like multi-blast lists provide a decent strategy in 6th? There's obvious weaknesses with using only templates (i.e. flyers, anti-vehicle, etc) but I'm curious to know what everyone thinks on this.

I think as long as you have AA covered, you should be fine.
unless your entire meta is elite army builds with tiny model counts.

I just played a rogue trader at flgs this past weekend and lost bad to a IG list with tons of blast templates, admittedly almost everything hit for him or scattered into another unit but rolling all those blasts seems tedious

6th ed has lots of love for lists that force lots of saves, and obviously that includes blasts. If nothing else, you'll be able to win games at flgs and will have a really FUN* list to play with
