I've been working on some custom marine conversions and I want my normal marines to be half man/half serpent, the only trouble is I can't seem to find a suitable serpent lower halves.
Something akin to these guys or yuan ti from dnd.http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/monster/sku-down/14559
Any thoughts? Help would be most welcome.

Come watch me and my friends play good games poorly on Boss Room Ahead

Well, the Ravenors (of any sort) seem a good idea.

If you want a more serpent-like lower body, then the Sslyth is pretty much the only model I can think of off the top of my head.

Of course, there's also the "make a sausage with Milliput and then add detail on later with bits, plasticard and greenstuff" method. If you do it that way, you can even make five or so "masters", and then resin cast them for the rest of the army.

Depends on your hobby-handiness, but the sculpting/casting suggested above seems the best way if you are able.

The cheaper seems to be missed...

The original Reaper figure you linked to is big...almost 2 inches tall IIRC. They have smaller snake bodied figures that would be a better fit for mating to a marine torso...many have made it intothe Bones material as well, so those will becone available at regular retail prices soon (a couple bucks each...dont recall the exact price though).

Making a snake like body in putty is pretty easy too. I did an honor guard for my EC army (led by Fulgrim no less) with snake bodies and wings to match their master. I didnt go with scally snakes on them, but it isnt that difficult to do scales...just time consuming.

If you poke around dollar stores, party stores and toy stores you will find cheap plastic snakes too. Many of those can have their heads snipped off and then bend them up to any upright position with a bit of heat (sharper angles will need a relief cut, bend and putty).

You also have a variety of other snakes and snake like creatures from all manner of companies like the Feathered Serpent from Armorcast or the Giant Snake from Other World.
