Hi guys I have recently returned to the world of 40k after a gap of a few years. I think I will probably get more out of the game now I am 22 than when I was 15 :-) Apart from anything I can now afford to fund such an expensive habit properly...
I collected at least 2k points of Necrons, imperial guard and tyranids and I feel like a change so after the Dark Vengeance I bought I am going to play Chaos.
I added some terminators, a squad of marines and a defiler to it and seem to do reasonably well playing my brother's marines.
Saying that, I have spent the last few days writing what I think is a solid 2k list. Open to suggestions and criticism or I wouldn't post this so don't hold back guys :-)

Nurgle daemon Prince, wings, blind axe, mutation
Chaos Lord, terminator armor, combi bolter, nurgle, mutation
4x5 plague marines, 3 with plasma, 1 with melta, all mutations
2x3 obliterators
5 havocs, rocket launchers
2 helldrakes, baleflamers

For starters the Prince is for a bit of fun, I am aware of how costly they are. Are my marine squads too small? Have I put in too much heavy? Opted for no transports, they seem too fragile, worth the risk? Maybe take something out and add a couple more plague marines to each squad? People seem to be anti-gift of mutation but I think it's cool, adds a more random element.
Constructive feedback would be appreciated :-)

Well first welcome, second... Wrong place for the lost lol. Put it under 40k army lists. The others who posted are just there to say hi, not to help with lists lol.

Welcome to the community my friend!

LET THE GALAXY BURN!!!
(sorry, I get a little excited when I meet another Chaos player...)

Can't wait to see some pictures of your work!

Blessed are they that reap the sinners from the sight of the Emperor.
Damned are those that consort with Chaos!
