Question for all you hordemachine players. Do you usually chose a scenario for casual games or do you just play "last one standing"? Most of the games I've seen in my FLGS are just free for all kill the other guy kind of events. I'm not experienced enough to tell exactly, but it seems like playing a 50 point game like that is making the game less fun that it would otherwise be.

So there it is, do you play with scenarios with casual games? Why/why not? (and if there's a pack of good scenarios in a rulebook let me know. There's some in the core book but I'm sure that people have thought up more than that).

Like watching other people play video games (badly) while blathering about nothing in particular? Check out my Youtube channel: joemamaUSA!

Personally I like to play scenario. After a while caster kill gets boring, that and scenario adds more tactical elements into it.

I use caster kill when teaching a new player, but that's about it.

The game is balanced around scenario, plenty of really good scenario casters are vulnerable to assassination and a good portion of the games units and models who are build to hold ground aren't really useful in caster kill games.

Always scenarios. The game is designed with them in mind, and they keep the game agressive and interesting.
