Check and see if its marked "shipped". There's usually tracking info. I would give it a few days. Unless he's overnighting it, I cant see how it would have arrived by now...

So you asked if game stores in general are trustworthy? Well, they're places of business, so they should be if they want to retain customers. Did he give you a tracking number? Did he mean they'd be delivered to the store? Did you need to use more than one question mark in the thread title?

A LGS is a Local Gaming Store and ebay certainly isn't one.

Generally I've had pretty good experiences with LGS's selling via eBay.

Maybe the guy was guesstimating when it would get to you.

OMG! 3 whole days and it's not there yet?

He must have forgotten to shove it through the screen so it'd be there instantly.

I know its the age of the internet and all but mail takes a while, you know sometimes like a week or even two.

Relax.

No kidding.

Peter: As we all know, Christmas is that mystical time of year when the ghost of Jesus rises from the grave to feast on the flesh of the living! So we all sing Christmas Carols to lull him back to sleep.
Bob: Outrageous, How dare he say such blasphemy. I've got to do something.

Bob: Well, I guess I'll just have to develop a sense of humor.

OP. Please change the title to "Questions regarding shipping time" or something similar

The current title is vague and not helpful as it really has nothing to do with your question and makes you seem a bit...green.

There is no way in heck that our opinions of our own LGS could have anything to do with the LGS that you may or may not have just purchsased an item from.

As for your actual issue. Check the status of your order. Request a tracking number, and wait a couple of days. If you haven't got your stuff in a week open a paypal dispute.

Lets be a little fair to the OP - If I had spent $650 dollars on something I would expect a lot of attention to detail with regards to shipping times, shipping notifications, tracking numbers and whatnot too. That's a lot of cash to blow in one go.

I'm inclined to agree with Schmapdi. That is a bit of cash to pay out. Still, check with the person you bought from to see if shipment has been sent or not and if there is a tracking number. Playing devil's advocate for a second, expecting a package three days after you click that BiN button is a little unrealistic.

I disagree ... $650 is a small chunk of change by comparison to the thousands that most small stores will run through in the week. The problem with most people are that they suffer from 'IG' ... they must have Instant Gratification. They buy it now and want it now ... things take time to package and ship out. The good Lord knows that our government employee's are so NOT in a rush and this too will slow it down.

OP should just relax and go outside and enjoy the nice warm summer we have going on right now.

Now, we like big books. (And we cannot lie. You other readers can’t deny, a book flops open with an itty-bitty font, and a map that’s in your face, you get—sorry! Sorry!)

On top of wanting instant delivery (which is impossible) I often run into buyers that post a payment after hours of business operation yet they factor that "day" into their misguided calculation of when it should be delivered by.

For example makes payment on a Tuesday night at 11 pm, so Tuesday must counts as day one even though there is absolutely no way the shipper can have it posted in the mail at that late hour and assuming its in the mail on wed it's now "a day late". Nowdays buyers on Ebay have very unrealistic views on what shipping in the mail actually entails. Unless you are across town there's very little chance that a package will make it across country in 2-3 days unless you are paying for expediated services like overnight. Priority mail tends to be quick but may well stretch beyond the 2-3 day estimate they give. Afterall its an estimate not a guarantee.

Even in the 90's mail order could take 4-8 weeks, delivery technology hasn't change at all but unfortunately todays generation wants their stuff drop kicked across the country in an instant. Think about how long it would take you to drive from the items originating location to your house, chances are it's more than a few hours. Figure in the fact its also being handled by government workers who tend to be on the slow side, add in lunch and smoke breaks and honestly its a miracle that most packages still manage to arrive in a weeks time.

Expecting delivery within 3 days time is entirely unrealistic, if its been more than a week then maybe you can start sweating.

This is a bit premature, and also if you are genuinely concerned you need to take it up with eBay/PayPal, but would probably give it another week and/or contact the other party first.
