Black Legion- A Codex: Chaos Space Marines Supplement

This is the definitive background for the Black Legion: The most ruthless if all the Chaos Space Marines and the gene-sons of the arch traitor Horus. It contains a detailed timeline of major historical battles and events, additional rules for your Chaos Space Marine collection (lead your forces in a Black Crusade!), a miniatures gallery showing off Citadel Miniatures painted in the the colours of the Black Legion, and more besides. You'll also find a 360° miniature gallery for the key units in the supplement, and pop-out boxes give you quick rules, reference for special rules and wargear in the Black Legion's arsenal.

This was in this month's White Dwarf. Hadn't seen a thread, so thought it was worth posting. There's an image of some Black Legion Chosen and a Rhino next to this small passage, but I couldn't get the image to come out well, so I haven't posted it. This will be a digital product, and is on page 36 of this month's White Dwarf should you have missed it.

Not opposed to the general concept, but once upon a time this would have been in something like chapter approved.

Nice to have confirmation, but 100% zzz to GW for picking suck a terrible terrible vanilla faction to give its own dedicated book.

I don'y really see how the Black Legion merits their own codex, considering they posses no real unique traits and can it can easily be created through the rules in the Chaos space marine codex. I don't really think any of the Chaos legions merit a codex of their own, since it's easier than it was to replicate most of the Chaos legions with the introduction of the allies rules and expansion of marks and icons.

With nowhere to call a home
Start their singing, singing
Waiting through the summertime
To thaw your hearts in wintertime
That's why they're singing, singing

As said, this is a digital Codex (for the time being), as you can see from the full page pic posted a day ago in the Black Legion Supplement thread:
