I love the new supplement. The fluff, the play style, the model range etc. it's all great. I'm starting Tau and want to get as close to the GW Farsight Enclaves codex version as possible.

Anyone have experience with this using available paints? I know people used to use scab red but; no longer an option.

So, if you can, specific colors and more importantly, techniques please!

Thank you very much for your help; I'm a veteran player but new to trying to make my models actually look good ;P

If Scab Red is what you're after, you can always get the Vallejo Game Color equivalent, I think Scarlett Red. On the back of the box for the new Farsight model it recommends Khorne Red and Mephiston Red from the new range, Khorne Red seems like it would be a good match to me.

I figured; khorne red with black wash maybe?

Anyone know the techniques to get that codex look? I've always been better at painting my bugs than marines or something like tau. No good at straight lines...
