had played a game and this happened the dreadknight said he passed i thought failed. i had 6 wraith 4 with transdimensional beamer he tried to assault and failed. he was 8 inches away so i used the beamers all 4 hit he rolled and got 6, 3, 3, 1. for strength test, he had 6 strength. the rules say he rolls a d6 and passes if its equal to or under his strength. but i thought 1 is always auto fail. what do you guys think?

The 6 is the auto fail on a character test like that.

Read page 7 of the rulebook. The section under "Automatic pass and fail". This clearly answers your question.

sweet so he failed but for differeent roll lol. i let him pass at the time, but ended up loosing that unit plagued me for that entire game. could not kill it. thx
