Hey everyone,
So I have my whole space marine army painted up to a very crappy standard it was my first 40k army.
Now since I am working on my tau and my painting is improving I am thinking about repainting some of my models.

So far I have stripped down only he chapter master because he has a pretty poor paint job.
Looking at the mini I realize he is a little to robey (not a word) for my army and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas had to reduce/convert his robes around his feet?

I have looked around but not many people seem to convert him - maybe for good reason.

Any help would be awesome

That's tough, I would think it would be near impossible to disrobe a space marine. (Not sarcasm)

I agree, it'd probably be easier to just start again with a new mini, and just re use the helmet.

Hard to answer without knowing which robed mini you are referring to.

you really couldn't have chosen a more difficult model to modify. I guess you could cut the robes off at you desired height, then cut Space Marine legs to match, but I think it would look goofy.

hmmm, interesting, this is speaking of the dark vengeance company master?
the only thing i can think of would be to cut the torso itself off and use another.

It isn't so much the top cape thing its the robe by the feet I just don't really like it but I really like the winged shoulder and head as well as the sword.

Might be a lost cause haha

Use another model.

The wing can be sliced off and the head can be used if the lower part of the "neck" is removed.
If you cut the sword off above the hands then you could swap the blade with crossguard onto any sword or chainsword arm.

I agree. Cut off the bits you want, and scrap the rest.

Use the Finecast DA Chapter master, it's robeless and has the cape.
