Hello everyone, here is a picture of the company champion for a DIY chapter. I was shooting for something halfway between speed painting and high quality, and I'm quite happy with the results. Thanks for looking.

Solid base colours and great highlights. You should probably link the image to make it show directly on this page, this way, a lot more people will see it.

A few ground rules about posting in this forum:
1) Models must be FINISHED. Complete. Done. Not-Works-In-Progress. You can decide what's finished, and we're not legislating quality here, but if you're still working on it, it goes in either Painting & Modeling or P&M Blogs. The Showcase is where you show off what you've completed and want to wow people with.
2) That means the base too. Some games/lines/types of dioramas might use unpainted/flocked bases, and if that's the case it will undoubtedly still look neat and clean and finished and we'll be able to tell by context. But for most wargaming models a completed model means a completed and nice base too.
3) This is a forum to actually show off pictures, so threads created here must contain at least one picture within the post itself. Simply posting a link to another site without including a picture in the post is not acceptable, and threads like that will be moved to the regular painting and modeling forum.

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!! |

Ok that's good to know, I'll post pictures in the future. Though the model is complete, I didn't violate 1 or 2 to my knowledge.

I'm pretty sure those are the showcase rules, not the general P&M ones. But we do like pictures...

Quite true, those are indeed the rules for the Showcase forum, not P&M. It's equally true that most Dakkanaughts (myself included) prefer pictures rather than links and the Dakka Gallery is a very useful resource for this and many other things ( again, a personal preference I know others share).
OP: I've got to say that I really like the result, nicely done, balanced and something I could happily see as part of a larger army if done to the same standard

it started off in the showcase section & therefore my post.
I'm not keen on clicking on links which i don't recognise.
