My question is pretty simple. I know that infantry platoons are typically modelled with an NCO per squad and an officer as the platoon commander, I'd just like to know if gun platoons follow the same pattern. For example, if I'm modelling a gun platoon of 3 PaK40s, is each gun supposed to have an NCO on it, with an officer as the platoon commander? Or do they follow some other pattern?

Yes, I know, I'm thinking too hard about this, but I'm OCD and would really like an answer to this question. Thanks.

if you take the winter gun teams for example (did a winter army so i remember)

http://www.flamesofwar.com/hobby.aspx?art_id=3653

You have enough models for 2 anti infantry guns and 4 anti tank guns,

you get the breakdown of models ( 3 officers and 1 NCO's)

they suggest One command contains one of each of the officier figures and a single rifleman while the other contains an officier figure (Figure B), the NCO and the remaining rifleman

Hope that helps

Do you mean whats in a real WW2 German Infantry Anti-Tank gun unit?

Is it a regimental AT company or the Divisional AT battalion as they have differing numbers of guns.

The infantry AT Company KtsN list the Panzerjägerzug as having a command of three, somewhere between 4 - 6 men per gun (dependant on gun type), a munitions section three men and the vehicle drivers (varies from three to nine dependant on associated tows).

Some tables also show a two man MG team too.
