So my local GW is holding a campaign in a build-up to a big Apocalypse game in September. Most of the games before hand will be 1500pts games, so I was wondering if I could get some C+C on this list I made

HQ (190pts):

Librarian + Epistolary + Terminator Armour and Storm Shield. Cost: 190pts

Troops (635pts):

10 Man Tactical Squad + Flamer + Heavy Bolter + Rhino. Cost: 205pts

10 Man Tactical Squad + Melta + Plasma Cannon + Razorback. Cost: 220pts

10 Man Tactical Squad + Melta + Multi-Melta + Rhino. Cost: 210pts

Elites (200pts):

5 Man Assault Terminator Squad with SS/TH. Cost: 200pts

Fast Attack (125pts):

Storm Talon + Skyhammer Missiles. Cost: 125pts

Heavy Support (250pts):

Land Raider Redeemer + Multi-Melta. Cost: 250pts

Fortifications (100pts):

Aegis Defense Line + Quad Gun. Cost: 100pts

The idea behind this list is the Librarian takes Null Zone (second power dependent on army I'm facing) and is attached to the Termie squad in the Land Raider. If the game is an objective game, the melta/plasma squad will combat squad, with the plasma team sitting on an objective or on the aegis quad gun, depending on the layout of the board. Beyond that, the individual units will operate as the mission dictates, with the Tactical squads using their metal boxes as mobile cover

Please tell me what you think

That's a pretty solid list.

While there are a few minor things I do differently, the only major issue I have is with your HQ. While he should work fine, with the points you are spending, you could have Vulcan. Who would give a nice boost to the rest of the army. Or you could run a cheaper HQ and spend those points elsewhere.

Way way too many points in troops. Tac squads are awful take as few as you can get away with. More than 20 guys is not needed until you get to 2000 points. So drop a squad and give the others good equipment.

As stated above that Libby is not as good as Villain who's the same points. Drop the Epistolary upgrade or swap him for Villain. Also your powers need to be in your army list no changing between opponents.

Solo Landraiders are not a good idea. Most people have cut down on their ability to deal with AV14. But they can still deal with 1 Landraider. Take two or three and cause people real problems.

Storm Talon needs a buddy. Not sure you need the Aegis in this army. Personally I find the Firestorm Redoubt dovetails better with Landraiders present an AV14 wall that negates all the S6-7 spam weaponry that nearly every strong list is built around these days.

Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.

Yes my Colour is Black but not for the reasons stated mainly just because it's slimming... http://imperiusdominatus.blogspot.com

I've found in my previous games that the amount of Bolter spam three squads can put down-range is easily the match of potential upgrades for the Tactical squads, however I will consider dropping the Tactical Squad

I'll probably drop the Epistolary upgrade. For the set-up I'm using none of the other powers I can take from the Codex are that great for what they do (GoI is pretty useless on an Assault Termie squad)

So, would you recommend dropping the Epistolary upgrade on the Libby, one of the Tactical squads and the Aegis in favour of a Firestorm redoubt and another Raider or a Raven?
