Would you prefer to see Comikaze in the main hall of the event again this year, or in a separate side hall and not have to wait in line?
I would prefer to be a part of the main convention.
I want to be in a side room with a cheaper ticket, not have to wait in line, but not be a part of the event and have to buy a separate ticket to get in to the main con.
I don't care either way.

Please only answer the poll if you plan on attending Comikaze this year. Novemeber 2-3, 2013

Hey everyone, we're getting ready to draw the contract for Comikaze this year. http://comikazeexpo.com/

Comikaze is a huge ComiCon style pop culture event at the Los Angels Convention Center, and is a lot of fun. As usual, HOT Cos Play girls everywhere!

Anyway, this is our 3rd year and the head honcho offered for us to rent a separate room for our event. What this means is that we would control the flow of people in and out, you wouldn't have to wait in line, the ticket would be cheaper, we could lock up your stuff, there wouldn't be as many people walking around.

Cons are that we wouldn't be immersed into the event as much but if you wanted to get a con badge to get into the event, you can. It's more flexible.

Let us know soon what you would all prefer to see us do!

Does that mean someone with a standard Con badge couldn't come into our room?

(That's a negative for me - if my S.O. can't wander in & out, then I'm much less likely to attend.)

I do not know off hand if they can or cannot but I was told that it was our show to run and that we would control the room so I would guess it would be at our discretion, although I will ask specifically.

Cheaper is always better. But Ill be coming either way. I mean the Anime Expo wasnt that bad noise level wise.

Beyond just playing the games in the Tourny format, this is one of the rare opportunities to show off the Hobby to a large audience base. A chance to grow the Hobby beyond the traditional wargaming group.
So I vote to keep it in the main hall.
As for the line...the 1st Comikaze they gave Reece the passes and he was able to give them to us and got us in and running before the doors opened.

Besides, the Eye-candy on the main floor is stunning to behold.

Life isn't fair. But wouldn't it be worse if Life were fair, and all of the really terrible things that happen to us were because we deserved them?

Kelly makes a good point. Us war gammers do need our eye candy.

I'm all for keeping costs down, but isn't the point of having an event at these larger conventions to be a part of the larger convention?

Can't have it both ways, I'm afraid. Might as well hold the GT in a church somewhere and carpool to Comikaze afterwards.
