And technically, Wazdakka is a Mek HQ as he has Mek's tools and a kustom Mega blasta, but no one ever uses him as a Mek. Someone who was kinda like Buzzgob might be cool though.

+1 for Klan Leaders or The Red Gobbo. Having a grot-only army would be interesting but can't really have that unless you have a grot HQ.


To a certain extent, I'd like it if we get a model for Old Zogwott (or however you spell the Weirdboy Character HQ's name).

Actually i just want Warboss and Big Meks to have access to ALL the ork toyz and gear, including jump packs, deffkoptas, or some kind of "kommando" gear to allow infiltrate and/or outflank. After reading the CSM dex, i got jelly that the chaos lord literally fits into any army list because he can take just about anything if not everything.

Also either fix or get rid of Old Zogwort and give us a weirdboy HQ that works lol

Rule-wise the only thing wrong with him is he cant use half of the weirdboy powers, which makes no sense since he is the most powerful weirdboy of them all.

Statwise, he has no physical defense and a crappy initiative to back up his 2+ poisoned attack, which is actually a big deal but he never gets to use it outside a challenge and he dies instantly in a challenge due to only a t-shirt save.

Sorry this is just me ranting that the ork special character for psyker stuff is utter trash unless you just wanna squig someone for the hell of it, while everyone else has these insanely awesome psyker bosses for same or slightly more the cost.

i'd be fine with lack of frazzle/zzap (and technically 'eadbanger since its still classified a shooting attack) if he had some crazy physical capability to make up for it. Something off the wall like a reflective invul save or something. Hes just a mix of roles and does none of them even remotely well....except squigging Abbadon (which is HILARIOUS lol)

I think we definitely need an Big Mek HQ, all the other Ork subtypes are represented, except the Big Mek. And of course, any should include a Kustom Force Field, and I think probably he should pilot a Deff Dread of some variety. He should be what Thraka is to Nobz(Pretty much all their good qualities and then some), a Mek should have all the good qualities of a Mek and then some.

I also think we need a Grot HQ, I'm not sure exactly what he should do, possibly something with Killa Kanz, or maybe something to just improve the stats of Gretchin in his army, something along those lines. But it's definitely time for one.

I'd see both in any future Ork Codex, myself.

Nob Kommand Squads would be nice, with different upgrades and other gubbins if the boss is a normal boss, or a mek, painboss, burnaboss, etc. More oddboy bosses in general would be really great.

I'd like to see the 40k Ork Codex borrow from the Fantasy book.

Warboss, Nob Boss, Big Mek, Mek, Weird Boy for Ork HQ.

Grot Boss, Grot Mek, Weird Git for Gretchin HQ.

From there they should add marks like Chaos. Deff Skullz, Evil Sunz, ect.

I'd like to see Ghaz become a true powerhouse. I think he should be broken but there should limitations to his use.

Perhaps something like "You need 3 Nob units minimum to use him. Or a maxed unit of Mega-nobz or something. Kinda like the old version of Archaon.

The Ork psyker powers should be more random than the Daemon book but each one should be worthwhile.

It'd be nice to have a random list where the player is hoping for a strong one rather than dreading a useless one.

Wich sixth eddition screwed up with the the requirement to even make a shooting attack wich frazzle is you need atleast bs1 even if its auto hit.

The BRB FAQ explicitly says that models with BS0 may never attempt to make any shooting attacks for any reason. The whole thing was probably aimed at the Tyranid Broodlord, but Zogwort got caught in the blast. Right now, the rules prohibit Zogwort from shooting his auto-hitting shooting attacks.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.

Problem with Grotsnik is he has oldschool rage. Hes nuts! Unless your opponent has the right list for him to do his job, i betcha anything your opponent will force him to run in circles.
Almost any list involving Grotsnik is purely fun because you lose control of a unit, and thats a big deal when its your deathstar (MANz or even footnobz or 30blob of boyz).
Quite frankly if they just got rid of the chaotic part he'd be fine. His stats are good and offers any unit in the army cyborks whether hes joining them or not (and not limited to 1 unit). Its just the fact that he makes you hope it works out because you have 0 control over him.

Grotboss would probably have to be a special killa kan. It wouldnt make sense otherwise unless they gave us more grot units to tinker with as well (such as Supa Grotz or somethin, grotz with special guns that have interesting recoil effects).

Im not sure which would be best to be a named Big Mek. KFF sounds more commonly viable but SAG seems more fluffy since the best and most awesome big mek of them all is bound to be toting around his favorite BFG he built. Maybe a Deff Dredd equipped with a SAG?

I feel a generic painboy HQ would be like an apothecary HQ. Just not enough there. The fact that there is a mad doc is plenty enough. and the mad doc is pretty hilariously violent, as all all orky things should be.
