'lo to all
I am going to field a large tzeentch army, with CSM as my main and CSD as allies. I am relatively new and was going to field a chaos sorcerer as my HQ for the CSM and a herald as the CSD. I then decided to use a daemon prince of tzeentch as CSD instead of CSM as it absolutely fuckin' destroys with them. I then found out that i can only have 1 HQ with my allies.
Then I looked at the codex and found out that if i fielded a Weaver or LoC then I could take a Prince as heavy support, the one spot i hadn't filled with the daemons. I then thought "Fuc,k the herald, I'm getting one of them.

So basically I'm asking: Fateweaver or lord of change?

I have not seen a basic LoC in action but I have a friend who fields Fateweaver and he can be really useful. You figure he can have tzeentch and either telepathy or biomancy each turn. He may only be WS 1 with 1 ATT but when he has iron arm on he is really hard to kill. He can bless/curse and blast with the best of them and cause a great deal of battlefield havoc. Personally I would recommend him.

In lists I've seen people usually take both, with a LoC having the Grimore of True Names and generally acting as support for the Fateweaver.

Fateweaver + a LoC is like two best friends holding hands skipping through the magical fairy forest. LoC gives Kairos a 2++ rerollable invuln. Kairos makes sure it doesn't fail with his reroll power. Effectively making him invinceble until they deal with the LoC.

I need to return some video tapes.

When playing this card, I perfer to use a herald of nurgle in a squad of 20 plaguebearers with FNP. Its much harder to dislodge that over a single LoC. It also gives me a nice objective that's not going anywhere.

The idea is very solid though. Fatey with a 2++ can sit whereever he likes on the board and deny an objective. This means, as a daemon player, your at least holding one mid field objective and your contesting another. Not a bad way to start

I would go Fateweaver plus Daemon Prince. Prince is equipped with ML3, Exalted (Portal Glyph/ Grimiore), Greater Reward, Flight and Armor. Roll on Telepathy for Invisibility.
