I'm thinking this will be a quick one.

I had a game the other day and something came up which baffled me a little, as I've been unable to find it myself in the rulebook.

We got into a short discussion regarding vehicle movement and my opponent advised me that in 6E, vehicles now move upto 6" in the movement phase and the rest of movement was completed in shooting phase (with actual shooting following that in the shooting phase).

My understanding was the vehicle moves upto 12" (combat 6" or cruising 12") in movement phase and can choose to move an additional 6" (for flat out) in shooting phase instead of shooting.

As I didn't want to cause a scene at the time (And he seemed very sure and my grasp of the new rules is still shaky), we continued the game and its bothered me and I figured I'd ask eslewhere (here). I have a strong feeling he's wrong, but I don't think it was cheating in any way, just a rules misunderstanding.

I guess that answers it then...

BRB page 71.

For some reason, this didn't really occur to me at the time.
I find that in the middle of a game, its difficult to see these things, but its a lot clearer now.
