Hi all,

I've been struggling with airbrushing for a while and was constantly being stymied by one technical problem after another.

I've worked through a lot of these issues now and have written an article on my blog with some advice and pointers. It won't teach you how to paint, but it might help you avoid a lot of the frustration involved in the simple act of getting an airbrush to deliver a steady stream of paint, which caused me more hassle than I care to remember.

Details are here, if you're interested: http://wargames-wasteland.blogspot.com/2013/08/quick-tips-overcoming-airbrush.html

Good advice overall. Actually, this is a must read for anybody starting out.

Couple of things:

You don't need to buy a "milk frother" to stir your paint. You can just buy a paint mixer. It's also cheap - http://amzn.to/Hmlm5t

I solved most of my issues with airbrushing when I moved from thinning my paint with water/alcohol/Windex to just using Liquitex Airbrush Medium. It pretty much also solves the consistency problem too. You can't overthin your paint since the thinnest it can get it still a good thickness. Transparency is another issue, though. http://amzn.to/1aAdhnx

Hi all

I've just put some new updates on the airbrushing article I wrote a while back with a few more tips I've found or worked out.
