If I have a squad of vehicles that all perform a tank shock or ram, how does that work?

~All must target the same unit, but can hit different models in that unit?
~All must target the exact same model, meaning against infantry for instance possibly only one vehicle can perform the attack?
~The vehicles can each target different units or models as long as they end in coherency?
~Something else?

Cheers

The Tank Shock rules are written as to be a manor in which a vehicle can move. There is not restriction to how the rest of the squad moves so they can Tank Shock as well or not so long as they end their move within 4 inches of the rest of the squad. Also, Tank Shock has no target, each vehicle engaging in the action will Tank Shock every non-vehicle unit it touches with its move.

I'd agree with the above broadly but it is a case of the rules don't say you cannot when it comes to picking and choosing which members of the unit tank shock. I'd ask a TO first before you try it just to be safe.

My personal feeling is that since there is no permission to pick and choose you cannot do that for tank shock as speed and flat out have explicit permission.

Tank shocking with squadrons will cause a huge nest of snakes when it comes to immobilisations and the like from rams or death or glory. So good luck with that.

It's not the size of the blade, it's how you use it.

Tank shock is a form of movement, you do not target enemy models/units, ALL that would be under the vehicle when it's done moving are tank shocked. If this is multiple units under one tank, they are both shocked, if this is multiple units under multiple tanks they are all shocked.

Different models in a unit may use different movement modes as long as they maintain coherency. I think this applies to vehicles as well. If so, you can have a LRBT squadron with one tank shocking, and the others just moving to maintain coherency.
