Troop
10 DAs exarch shimmer shield, powe axe.
10 DAs exarch shimmer shield, power axe

5 rangers
5 rangers

Elite
10 scorpions, exarch scorpions claw, scrunching blow.

Heavy support
Wraith lord 2 BLs
Wraith lord 2 BLs
3 war walkers 6 BLs.

Plan: that's sticking 3 Mcs, and 10 BLs marching up, with 60 infantry backing them up and supporting them.
Really one if my first infantry lists, please C and C. Hardest types. What would tear up this list, and what would counter that.

Thanks,

Looks solid I was thinking something similar, whats your plan for AA? IMO I would drop the rangers for 10 more guardians with a weapon plat other than that looks solid.

AA is guided walkers.
Don't have any more gaurdians models :(
Their mostly for backfield objective camping (the rangers)

Looks really solid with the mass infantry and MC scare.

But 2 Rangers is most likely too much, just have one backfield and put 60 pts somewhere else.

Well half of the missions their are 3+ objectives, so I wanted them to sit back and let me score.

Executing Exarch

The Twilight Zone

I would never take a power axe on the DA exarch, ever. I6 is one of the major selling points of an exarch. You want to win challenges by getting the first swing, not going last to deal with AP2. A maul is better to force saves, and hopefully you wont be in a challenge against a terminator sarge, but better to hit harder first.

Disarming strike is good on the avatar, but very expensive considering how easy the avatar is to kill. It is doubtful he will make it to CC, better to keep em cheap and stick to fast shot(its usually possible to get to melta range)

The scorpion exarch does not need crushing blow except against bikes, MC's and tanks. Tanks should only be taken on in a pinch, and against Rear armor 10/11 the exarch can get the job done. Against bikes and plague marines I see the point, but you can get monster hunter to deal with MC's, which boosts your ENTIRE squad for half the cost in both shooting AND assault.

A very shooty gunline(ig) will be a serious threat, so will necron wraithwings. Against a flying circus you should have firepower, same with horde deamons, but certain horde lists could probably overwhelm you.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

I was thinking the same thing about the DA exarc, but all the lists I've seen him in he's had that, so I didn't know what to do.

The disarming strike I would like to keep, whe when he gets into cobat it helps a lot. Unless theirs a better place to spend the points I would like to keep it.

Mostly same with striking scorpions, but I like the idea of monster hunter.

Did my first testor game with this list vs vanilla marines...l. Wipe out... My win. Not really much to say, he only killed one wraith lord with combat vs termites. Then my Garda s proceeded to wipe them.

So I think this list should do pretty well..

Ninja, you should swap one ranger squad for 3 jetbikes. Jetbikes are of use to you in turns 1-3. Then in the last few turns turbo-boost them to one of the backfield objectives.
