This is not the full list. this is just the core, i designed it as the bases for prople who play WAAC armies and act as TFG. never actually playyed IG. So im curious how much this would just Screw with Power builders like Eldar and Tau right now or Dakka banner grieffers. i left some room for flyer squads or what ever,

Thanks =D

I don't know that this is going to work at all. I am a Tau and Eldar player, and have NEVER had issues dealing with LR tanks.

You have 2 troop choices, with no protection, so the only objective mission you stand a chance in is Big Guns Never Tire. Any currently competitive list will EASILY have the power to wipe both of them out, maybe even in the first turn, at which point you can control no objectives. You have no AA, which could be fixed by taking flyers I suppose.

9 LRBT against 2 or 3 riptides, even if they all hit, barely kill even one (9*5/6*2/3) and you can't ignore them because once they are in fusion and assault range, they will each destroy at least one per turn, with the possibility of more since they are squadron'd. Against Wraithknights the situation is even more dire. Wave Serpents will laugh off the single shots. 9 str 8 shots is 1.5 glances and 4.5 pens, .75 and 2.25 after jink, the 2.25 mostly turning to glances, so even without any scatters, you wreck one serpent per turn.

Tau will have some issues dealing with the heavy armor. But, you never know when you will run into fusion toting stealth, crisis suits, riptides or piranha. Railheads (especially with Longstrike, hello re-roll to hit and pen with str 10 ap 1) and even pathfinders/fire warriors with EMP grenades aren't SUPER rare. Eldar on the other hand have no shortage of answers for high AV, including all D-weapons (even the scythes just need that magical 6 to pen). Fire Dragons, walkers or vypers with lances, avatar, wraithknights, warp spiders, hawks with EMP grenades.

As I said, 9 heavies will pose a problem in BGNT, that's just a lot of durable scoring, but in the remainder of the missions, especially the objective ones, there is nothing for the opponent to fear. Take out the vulnerable vets very early, then hide while using JsJ and mobility to frustrate the LRBT and turn 5 make a dash for enough objectives to secure the win.

On the other hand, this list will kill the hell out of my BA. Probably not the intended target, though.

I think at 1500, you may be screwed. It would be nice to know how many points you intend to play, and possibly the rest of the list?

probabaly 1850 seams what most people play
rest of the list would be 2 flyers and an ADL no gun.

The point of the list is not to care about troops and objectives just to put out as many Flyers and AV 14 taks as possible perferable with cover saves. like i said this list is not for competitive play but for WAAC TFG players

i could field 4 LRs and ally in alot of flyers as well doest really mater.

I am just trying to find a way to annoy those players who forget that the objective is to win but the POINT is to have fun.

I have played armies exactly like this. The look on your opponents face, with all the "Russ"tanks he's facing is priceless.

Then he just assaults your vehicles....and it's all over. Powerfist's sux.

I ran into 2500 points of this at the last Ard Boyz...it's devestating...it will demolish anything it shoots.

But it can only shoot 3 things a turn...with Tyranids I was able to win a war of attrition.

By turn 6 he had destroyed about 2100 pts of my army and I had killed around 60ish points of his. I massacred him as I was gloriously lucky that it was an objective game.

Nonetheless I would say that the main issue iis not being able to target too many units...something like eldar or SW could tear you apart while you attempt to manage his army....to combat this...reduce each squadron to 2 and take some of the fast tanks...devil dogs and bane wolves

You could also go the whole game getting torn up by fliers...so your own vendettas would rock too

Get prescience with rune priests or something. Then stick the hardy marines in cover. THEN it'll be a giant FU.

Other than that, spam lists like these have quite a few hard counters such as railgun spam, or BLOOD LANCE wooooooh

Black Templar can run as many land raider crusaders as they can fit. but it reality I think your list would get out F you'd by a Master of the forge dreadnaught army. 6 dreadnaught in a drop pod with 6 tactical squads of 5 with a drop pod but on the field.

The biggest F U list I've played was Azrael and a blob of 50 Guardsmen who now get 4++.

Add Manticores and Vendettas to taste and you have the least fun I've ever had in 40k

Ive run lists close to this but a couple things about russes, the biggest one is the LRBT will scatter often granted you will probably miss half the squad but you got 3 tanks in a squad so you might hit once, but thats another problem you only can pick 3 targets as theres only 3 squads.

Another problem is yes your opponent will struggle to shoot a russ down but if hes smart he will know to get close in. 1 because the russ dies easily to assaults and your list will get chewed up and also if your opponent gets close you cant place blasts over your own units so if a tank gets immobilized or stunned and hes basing it guess your not shooting the squad and he can sit there happy waiting for his turn to assault another tank.

LRBT's also arent very reliable at destroying other vehicles, as they are only ap3 tthey dont get any modifiers as ap1 and 2 get to blow a vehicle up. They also lack the ability to pen higher armor. So if your opponent runs a land raidder with termies it might just be game over as you will be trying to glance it to death and as the tanks are only ap3 those termies will require a ton of shots to kill.

Any armies that have decent fliers will probably destroy this list easily, mainly flying monstrous creature lists. Blasts cant hit air units so they will just get up close and as mentioned earlier assaults will just end the day.

I like the concept and I love Leman russes but my views are that you shouldnt run more than 2 russes in a squad and to many LRBT's are a bad idea, other variants should be used as well.

Another option I tried building but never played was 2 lord commissars as 2 hq's then I ran 4 vet squads in chimeras, I believe they all had melta guns, maybe 2 of the squads had flamers. Then you can double FOC and spam 6 heavy slots of russes, I suggest for 2k pts and above. With that list you attach each commissar to a vet squad then send the chimeras to objectives and have the russes kill anything that gets close.

Another lists to spam flyers and av14 armor also can be used at 2k is the same build of 2 lord commissars and 4 vets excapt these vets are in the flyers. So then with double FOC you choose 4 vendettas and 2 valks(with missile pods) and then the rest of the list is spent on LRBT's to get some ap3 large blasts.

2x Basilisks, or other artillery + 1x Tech Priest on a Skyshield Landing pad, which gives them a 4+ InvSv. I love doing this.

HQ

Fast Attack
2x Vendetta

Heavy support

That puts you around 1400 pts. With 6 flyers that have 3 lascannons and can hover if needed this may be the ultimate troll list. You can even hide all your squishies in the flyers so you can have some late game capture potential.

Good list. There's definitely more armor than most armies can handle without receiving a lot of damage, though you might have some problems with Tau, if the player is particularly fond of Broadsides, or Hammerheads.

How about this? It's all 1850 so it's not really a 'boiler-plate-plugin-your-favorite-ally' list.
