Hello All,

My gaming group is about to start the 750 point round of our escalation league. I haven't played very many games with Necrons in 6th, so I'm looking for some advice. My opponents are eldar, dark angels, tyranids, and horde orks. The orks numbers and eldar vehicles gave me quite a bit of trouble in the 500 point round.

There are a couple limitations for this league: No flyers before 1000 points, only 1 named character allowed, and no named characters from allied detachments. Also, I'd like to avoid more than 1 Annihilation Barge before 1000 to avoid feeling cheesy.

Here are a couple of lists I've come up with:

List 1
Overlord (Warscythe, Mindshackle Scarabs, CCB w/ Gauss Cannon)
2x Destruction Crypteks
11x Warriors (Ghost Ark) *Royal Court hangs out in here and takes pot shots at things*
8x Immortals (Tesla Carbine)
Annihilation Barge (Tesla Cannon)

TOTAL: 749 Points

List 2
Overlord (Resurrection Orb)
15x Warriors
10x Immortals (Tesla Carbine)
5x Canoptek Scarabs
2x Canoptek Spyders
Annihilation Barge (Tesla Cannon)

TOTAL: 750 Points

List 3
Destroyer Lord (Sempiternal Weave, Mindshackle Scarabs)
10x Warriors
7x Immortals (Tesla Carbine)
3x Canoptek Wraiths (2x Whip Coils)
5x Canoptek Scarabs
Canoptek Spyder
Annihilation Barge (Tesla Cannon)

TOTAL: 749 Points

Thanks in advance for the feedback!

@ psychosheep22 - The warriors would be on foot with the ghost ark providing support.

All your lists have good points to them how ever i also ran crons for our league ( we just moved to 1k ) and at 750 i lost just one game to a DE player who just managed to out run me the whole game!!

think you might benefit from reading my list as an idea for your own league, it has a bit of everything in all the right places and uses prob the best two unit in the codex --- wraiths and deathmarks---

HQ

Overlord, MSS , warscythe and semp weave. CCB

Court , Harbringer of Despair ( goes with deathmarks ofc )

Elite,

5 x Death marks.

Troops,

9 x warriors

9 x warriors

Fast Attack,

4 x wraiths all with whip coils.

now i either pushed for mid field with two blobs of warriors or sat them on home obj depending on mission etc, the lord on a barge at this point lvl is devastating AV13 barge and a scythe flying over ppls heads is sweet. wraiths pushed for nasty units you know will destroy ur warriors etc, even if you think they will lose have faith in them and run then in watch them tie up any unit if not kill it pretty dam quick. deathmarks what can i say with the cryptek is a awsum unit and at any point lvl almost an auto take hide them in a building in ur deployment to cover an obj and mark a unit you think will get there quick or deepstrike them into back field to clear opponents obj or kill a unit dug into cover remember the template wounds on two and ignores cover!!!!

trust me this list is nasty and a complete beast in almost every situation be it a heavy av army you face -- plenty of gauss or even a horde army everything rapid fire and if ur concerned use deathmarks on a huge blod of orks etc and watch them fall to plenty of rending shots!

good luck mate and i hope i have not put a spanner in the works but i do highly suggest running this list!!!

anymore questions etc on crons hit me up man i love the rusty robots
