Hello Dakka, I wanted to try and make a viable gunline BA army, and this is close as I can get to setting one up. I have the Stormravens, and Cyclone MLs to deal with armor, and MCs. The P Cannons are there for 2+ saves, MCs, and transports in a pinch. And the flamer squads to go into the razors to rush and take objectives once the major threats are taken care of, termies also act as an assault unit if anything really scary gets up close.

HQ: 1 = 145
Librarian w/ Terminator armor, Force Axe, and Stormshield; Divination.

Elite: 2 = 515
10 Man Terminator Squad w/ 2 Cyclone Missle Launchers.
Sanguinary Priest w/ Melta Bombs.

Troops: 3 = 615
10 Man Tactical Squad w/ Flamer, Combi-Flamer, Power Sword, Melta Bombs, and a Plasma Cannon.

Decicated Transport: 3 = 195
Razorback w/ TLHB, and Storm Bolter.

Heavy Support: 2 = 460
Stormraven Gunship w/ TLMM, TLAC, and Hurricane Bolters.

Fortifications: 1 = 70
Aegis Defence Line w/ Comm Relay.

I know there is a lot of anti infantry, and I was wondering if there is a good way to add in any more good AV destroying options while still keeping the gunline theme. I would think the melta bombs could help while rushing in, but that wouldn't be until later in the game, and I think the Stormravens would do a great job with dealing with the heavier armor.

The Twilight Zone

The power swords on your sarges are overkill. Drop these and get your aegis a quad gun for more gunline power. The comms helps get your stormravens in when you need them or hide them from enemy AA, but more shooting and AA is probably a better option.

You lack Av14. Until your stormravens come on the field the best you can do is glance a land raider. Consider swapping out one of the flamer squads to melta gun and combi melta, or add a lascannon or 2 to your gunline(maybe even an icarus). Losing a plasma cannon or a couple of flamers should not matter too much to your killing power.

The priest does not really need melta bombs, as he will be hiding back with the gunline and no raider should end up that close.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

Thanks for the input! I'd like to keep the Comm link because I've put so many points into the ravens and I would hate for them not to show up until late game due to bad luck on the rolls. Would one squad converted to Meltagun, Combi-Melta in a TLLC Razor work for incoming av14? I like the Swords on the Sarges purely for challenges, or do you still think they're too frivolous a buy?
