So for flames of war I play british commandos, and I love them. Say what you will about their effectiveness on the table, the sheer badassery of commandos is something that makes me enjoy playing them. Keep in mind this is not my tournament list, if I'm playing purely to win then I'll bring out my germans and roll up a functional list. I play commandos as something that is purely fun, I'm enjoying getting fancy with night time effects and osl to paint them, they're moderately functional and are awesome when I get that game winning assault.

So I have a question for you more experienced flames player.

Are the LVT's actually worth it? I know they're expensive, that's another beast entirely. I'm looking to see that if I do run them will they actually bring anything to the army. What I can see is that they're going to bring a disgusting amount of HMG fire to the board, which might be able to pin enemies, and make assaulting my commandos even more suicidal.

I've looked all around the internet for some form of tatica and I haven't found anything so here I am dakka, I'm asking to see what fielding these funny looking (aka awesome) water buffalos can actually do. Or even some tatics/comparisons between them and more traditional allied apc armies, since germans half tracks seem to work much differently.
