Hi all,

Back to the hobby after 13 years break and was very exited about playing an eldar jetbike army. Good timing around the release of the new codex as well. Still work in progress as I need to do more highlights, fill the gemstones and correct some mistakes (as well as getting smaller bases for some jetbikes.

The fluff behind the reavers for this detachment is based around the location of Yme'loc craftworld near the eye of terror. War effort is intense and scavenging of dark eldar technology is not excluded although frawned upon. Reaver jetbikes drive very similar to eldar ones and once refitted with power stones and twin-linked shuriken catapults fill the rank of the detachment.

Thanks for Tek and his painting for inspiration. My painting skill is nowhere near anything worthy of mention but it gets the models painted.

Thought it would be useful for the ones interested in that colour scheme to see how it looks.

Hmph imho I don't like red and blue together. If you make it all blue or all red, the gold will compliment it really well especially with your beautiful wraithlord.

I think they look good, I'm leaning toward a yellow colour scheme personally, but I do like the gold on the Wraith Lord. I like the way you've mixed up the patterns on the tanks too

Good work getting the whole lot painted, always been a problem for me

Yeah I know the scheme is a bit different and I'll try to get better quality shots as the blue tends really towards grey.

I'm going to try to try to get the gemstones started soon with some real close up pictures.

In the meantime I thought I'd share my alternative way of gettng the stands to hold on the models. Although I liked the idea of magnets I thought it would be wasteful to use them on the stands so I've found these widgets from dropzone commander and glued them at the bottom of the models.

The trick is to drill a hole just a bit biger under the model and also cut the insert bit at the top of the stand shaft so the widget slide down

The two pieces of the puzzle:
