I've played Orks for years, since 3rd actually, but I've never tried anything other than the "bit o' everything" style army. I was kicking around putting together some kind of Speed Freekz style army, but don't have the big bad biker boss and biker nobz. I don't see any reason I couldn't make this work without them, at least to start. So what I was thinking is as follows:

Warboss, Mega Armor, Cybork, Attack Squig

x12 Shoota Boyz, Big Shoota, Trukk, Big Shoota, RPJ
x12 Shoota Boyz, Big Shoota, Trukk, Big Shoota, RPJ
x10 Shoota Boyz, Big Shoota, Trukk, Big Shoota, RPJ

Burna Bomma, no upgrades

Battlewagon, Killkannon, 'ard Case.

I have everything except one Trukk, which shouldn't be hard to get. Anyways, I think its got some mobility, some shooting quantity, some templates and a big AP3 pie plate. I might be fighting DE mostly, so I figured the Burna Bomma takes away armor and cover saves, and wounds on 2's, that can't be bad lol

I guess it might be the "green horde" mentality speaking, but I worry they don't have enough staying power to make much impact.

What else could be done, drop a trukk of boyz for a trukk of x3 MANz?

I don't really have a lot of upgrades to cut back on..

Not sure about the burna bomber ..What protects your backfeild from outflanks and deepstrikes? (would suck to have that battlewagon popped from the rear)

Excellent point! Haha I figured on rolling everything up with the battlewagon either in front of the trukks, or hanging slightly back chucking Killkannon shots at whatever.

But, what would be a good unit to cover the backfield in an army that goes pedal to the floor?
The Burna Bomma negates cover and 4+ or worse armor with two pie plates per game, not to mention the TL supa shoota and TL big shoota that can then fire at a seperate target. Could be painful for DE infantry to deal with.

Anyone have any suggestions for backfield insurance that sorta fits the theme?

I run a similar list my only difference is I don't run a burna bomma I run a looted wagon with boom gun and either a rocket launcha or a big shoota for rear d and it comes to the same amount of points as a plain burna bomma. It has its ups and downs but I like using it cause its funny. (Yes ard case too).

I do but not with the battlewagon
But with a trukk including some mega nobz
