Completed this guy today! The miniature is a beast, but it's fantastic to put together. There were three main things I wanted to do with the Wraithknight for the army:
-Customized backvanes to match the gradient of Wraiths from Wraithguard to Phantom Titan, Dark Reaper-style Wraithcannon positioning, and a true cloth banner (which matches the rest of the army, though most of those are made from tape). Overall I'm incredibly happy with the conversion, satisfied with the model's paintjob, and disappointed in the banner (it was my first attempt at using my airbrush and masking, but doing so on cloth was a really bad idea and I ended up having to just go freehand). Luckily, the banner is not permanently attached to the pole, so I can just slip it off to replace it in the future.

First a couple of single shots, and then big composite pictures that'll link to their full size in the gallery. Commentary and feedback is always welcome.

Love what you did with the weapon. I am not a big fan of the original, but this is awesome!

I love the new vanes and the general paintjob.

I don't really like the banner pole (it just doesn't look very Eldar to me) and I'm not sure about the weapon posing (it looks like he is holding it out for someone to take rather than wielding it)

I really like the whole thing, banner pole and slung gun and all!

The paintjob and modified gun I think are both fantastic and well executed. The shimmery colors are really great.

But like someone else mentioned, the sashimono has got some problems. The idea is a good one, but right now it looks like a bendy straw and some dirty frayed cloth, which is a very jarring departure from the clean and graceful lines of the model. Maybe a thinner banner pole, and perhaps using some heated plasticard for the banner material for a cleaner look.

Painting's awesome, the gun's awesome and the vanes are really awesome! Not sure about the banner, mainly the frayed edges. Good work!

The faceplate is amazing, and love the scheme. I think the issue with how the gun is being held is that the grip on the left arm should be overhand rather than underhand. Also, if you took a lighter and carefully burnt the frayed edges of the banner it would look a lot neater. Very nice though.

I like the model itself, but the banner and the weapon coils are a bit OTT. On an infantry sized model, they would look fine, but scaled up to a Wraithknight there just isn't enough detail and elegance in them to match the model. The banner clearly looks like a bent tube and the coils leading to the weapon are too crude for Eldar. I really like the vanes and your interpretation of the weapon, though, and the painting is top notch.

Really nice work! How did you do the back vanes? i hate the default ones in the kit and would love to have something like this

This is gorgeous, lovely shading. That faceplate looks like a real jewel!

Good shading on white areas is very hard to do. No clumping or streaking--totally awesome!

I might recommend you trim some of the loose threads on the banner. A pair of nose-hair scissors might work if nothing else does.

Can't decide if I like the conversion work or the paint job, both are great. Love the figure. Great job.
