Farseer, bike 115 Farseer 100 Troops 3 x bikes 51 3 x bikes 51 3 x bikes 51 Fast 7 Warp Spiders 133 Heav Wraithknight 240 Nightspinner, Holofields 130 Nightspinner, Holofields 130 Tau Commander Pointsynch 210 (Iridium, Puretide, Onager, Mss, Shield Generator, Stimm Injector, Vectors thrust, Cyclic Ion Blaster) Kroot, dog 65 Riptide, Ion accelerator, Fusion blaster, intercept, skyfire 210 3 Broadsides, intercept, x6 missile drones 282 pts 1768 So the bikeseer and Commander Pointsynch join the Riptide, being super aggresive and hit-and-running out of combat with the Farseers initiative and the commander hopefully tanking a lot of wounds with his T5, 2+/4++ and FNP. Guide and prescience on Riptide and Wraithknight, whilst also going for Psychic Shriek for daemon princes etc. Hopefully getting Perfect timing on foot Farseer, who goes with Broadsides and guides/presciences Night Spinners. Toying with idea of crystal targetting matrix on both spinners, and possibly boosting the Warp Spiders unit.

Since your already loading your tau commander up on swag, why not get a repulsor impact field too? The squad is strong, but sheer numbers and powerful CC units will overwhelm it. The extra hits are worth it if your sinking that many points and protecting something that valuable.
I would not be so eager to simply take guide/prescience/Psychic shriek. Always roll once on the eldar powers to see if you get doom or fortune, both of which are amazing for your jetseer. If you got fortune on that unit it becomes basically unkillable, and doom is just all around useful. You can always take guide if you don't get it. Prescience is nice for the CC aspect, and shreik I agree with as well. I would also give your farseer a singing spear if you have spare points.
Why not take an ion cannon on the riptide?
The crystal targeting matrix is nice, but I find it too expensive for a single use when you might lose the spinners before they can even activate it. Do boost your spiders to ten, and maybe spend the rest of the points boosting your troops?
Overall your army has a lot of killing power, but it is concentrated in a few key units. Meanwhile, your scoring units are pretty easy to kill. Still should be a strong list.

How are you joining ICs to the Riptide without taking Drones?
Edit: "Always..." Should be FAQed for clarity, but as written its RAW.

@ Dr Serling - thanks for the feedback. Haven't been on Dakka for a while but have noted you often talk sense in subtle changes for army lists, rather than the too often 'tis all guff, change the lot of it' that can sometimes be posted up. The riptide does have Ion Accelerator and Fusion blaster, I've edited it now but forgot to write it out, mostly as I thought that it was a given. If i ran three riptides then I'd possibly keep one as burst cannon, but don't like that it can do serious damage to itself on Nova charge. The Jetseer was originally a Trollseer (laughing god mantle) but have found that he can often be too easy to kill, especially for Tau/Eldar. Now that he's joined the unit, I do roll on Runes of Fate first, but I have only ever rolled Fortune once so far in about 15-20 games with Newdar so I almost always swap to Divination if I first have to trade Executioner or laughable Death Dission to Guide. I do admit however, that with Commander PointSynch tanking wounds at the front, the unit would be nigh unkillable with Fortune. @ Zagman - I didn't quite understand the 2nd line of your post. However, it is universally accepted on the UK competitive scene that the mere fact that the Riptide is not always a single MC unit means you can attach characters to it. Whether or not this is right, I leave to greater (or more self absorbed) minds than mine, but its what happens at the tournies here

I was referencing the rule. My initial response was what I remembered, I then edited my response once I double checked the rule and found that RAW it works.

Still laughing at commander pointsynch. List is good nothing wrong at all... Except that damn cyclic ion blaster but you like it so keep it.
Woulnt consider the crystal matrix last tournament you said you forgot all about it. Night spinners are all kinds of win.
Would you consider dropping 1 interceptor upgrade for a drone controller will make those missile drones horrific.

Thanks! The internet is full of enough people who are like that. ZOMG Spam netlist all worship the sovigern god of wave serpent, and his prophet the warp spider. They tend to deal in very harsh absolutes that factor in a unit being assaulted by 20 khorne dogs with grimnoire and a full draigowing after being hit with 22 demolisher cannons. And of course, every opponent you face will have these and ten thousand other things that are nigh unstoppable. Or something...
I digress, I just had to check that you were TRYING for fortune(I feel your pain, I usually swear every time I roll on the table). And second the drone controller, totally overlooked that!
