Ok, so I've never played Tau before and am trying to get a list together for a major tournament at the end of the month. Used to play a Necron flyer list that worked very well until everyone and their uncle started taking Tau as an ally or primary detachment. Against Tau I just get shredded. So, can't beat, join 'em. Then beat 'em

So here's my first stab at a list. Read some stuff on the interweb about how Ethereals work with blocks of fire warriors - really liked that. Also liked what could be done with the sniper drones + Ethereal. Granted, I loose the Ethereal I kinda lose a lot of punch. Kroot come in on reserve rerolling sides thanks to the hound. Went with the hamerhead+railgun. I've seen my peeps in my club are taking the ion cannon but I like that power shot it has. Need something for LR and monoliths in this list.

So, don't be shy, I won't be offended if you trash this list. I could definitely use some solid Tau tactical/strategic ideas here. I still have 26 points hanging out there I can spend, too.
