Trying to come up with a infantry heavy list for a local gaming club. Trying to stay away from Heavy Support units and running a pure death guard list. Haven't played this army ever before, so any help would be greatly appreciated. I think grey knights, necrons, orks, and eldar are the armies I will be facing. 1500 points, and the last round will have 500 points of allies. I am thinking daemons with as many Great Unclean Ones as I can feild.

I would include a daemon prince with MoN and the black mace. Makes it ap2 and also incidentally makes him an utter beast in combat and hell to kill.

I'd break blobs into 9 man squads, in rhinos, or even break your plagues into x5 7 man groups, downgrade the sorc to level 2, grab spell familiar, and buy some rides for your marines.

You don;t current have an assault unit, and your lord is assault-dependent, i'd either drop him, and use the points for some ranged weaponry (Maybe oblits?), or find points to grab an assault unit to go with him (nurgle bikers are very strong, with t6) but expensive.

Yeah you need oblits and I would definitely advise rhinos, your plagues would be butchered by a quick army. If your opponent is fielding necrons with flyers then you have no answer to them. I would definitely advise a prince

Thanks for all of the feedback so far. I tried to tinker with the list to take as much advice as possible and still keep to the theme of the army. Here is what I came up with thus far. I am not sure on the bikers, but it does sound like fun. I could run them or maybe look into using a heldrake? What do you guys think about this?

Much better! This army looks like it could deal with a variety of threats relatively easily, it's tactically flexible as no unit is too specialised. Looks good

i am surprised to see a deathguard list with no heldrake!

The self contained synergy among plague marines with meltaguns & bomb to provide anti tank role, plasmagun for mc and TEq, and flamers for horde control are often combined with the heldrakes bf to bbq MEq.

Might i suggest giving your lord a bike ride with the other bikers and give him a bbos to roast the enemy. At a critical moment, you maybe able to detach him, have bikers pop the transport, have lord bbq troops inside, charge with bikers first and luckly kill their sergeant, then charge your lord in to clean house.
