So I've been thinking if some other 40k army allied with the farsight codex supplement army would they still get to use xv8 crisis suits as troops?

This should really go into YMDC. However, to answer the question - if you check the supplement again, if it only applies when the Farsight detachment is the primary detachment, it should say as much.
