hello. my question is, how do i make my own metallic paints? i have read Les wash recipe and its great! with minor modifications it would be made into a glaze recipe.
i know about vallejos metal medium, which is supposed to help you make your own metallics, but i wonder how i would do it without it, as the vellejo metal medium seems to whiten the paint it mixes with.
Question 1: do i need a gloss or matte medium to make a metallic paint?
Question 2: how much mica powder/pigment (the stuff that makes metallics metallic) do i need to use in ratio to the medium and water i need for the recipe?
for example, just say the amount im making is 10ml.

anyone have advice on this?
