I guess it's just not that popular anymore. A lot of the excitement of the first film has died away. There'll be more in December, I imagine.

That and WD tends not to be as good anymore. There's practically no guides on terrain or example scenarios anymore.

I've never seen it played or purchased.

Because GW doesn't support it.If they don't support it:Very few people buy it.If very few people buy it:They don't support it.

I would love to get a set of the hobbit. its just te $150CAD price point preventing me from doing so. Every time I'm swayed to buy it another Kickstarter comes out reminding me what I can get for $150.

If the Hobbit starter set drops to $90 I would buy in a heartbeat. I bought the Mines of Moria for $75CAD and didn't think twice

For the price of the starter set you could get the Lego version(which has less then GWs.also you save a lot of money with the starter ser:two boxes of goblins:60euro
Thorins company:A lot.
2 goblin captains(counting grinnah)15 euro
goblin scribe:15?
Goblin town terrain:80
The great goblin:35 euro
The rules:60 euro(points can be found on GW site)

Yeah if I got it pretty cheap I would consider getting it. I'm waiting until dreadfleet is practically being given away

Because the cost of starting isn't worth it especially when I have a ton of LOTR that works perfectly good with the last official LOTR rulebook. I would love some of them hunter orcs but I would need to put my kidney on the black market..............

Also, some of the models they do put in look derpy. Example: recent Gollum. He is grey and looks like a frog. (This might just be bad painting)

I'm buying this one to see daemons smash spess muhrines.

It is sad that lotr doesnt get much press. The sad part is in my area I see no one playing it. As far as GW goes it is the only ballanced system imo. It would be nice to find more people playing it but in my area space marines trumps all.

We did a Lotr campaign at our flgs and had 16+ players show up for games. Players are out there, you just have to bait them in
