I wrote this story in German. It's loosely based on experience living in a party-heavy environment. It's designed to be funny but it does also have a somewhat serious message.

I guessing you don't know German. The auto translation is terrible but I figured I'd provide it in the even that anyone who does't understand it really wants to read it.

Why would you post a story here in German? Its not like you're going to get many, if any, comments from people who actually read it as intended.

The forum also has rules concerning content being posted in English... Not sure if it applies entirely but even if it doesn't LL has a point.

Pretty much. I hope a user who does speak German will show up though and let us know if it is actually written correctly or if it is a mess like that other guy who tried to post a German story

The translated version is so poor there's no point reading it except for lulz and very few people on the forum know enough German to read the story...

Until i see someone here confirm that, I only have your word to go on, which isn't much. Why wouldn't you just write it in english if you were going to post it here? You write english well enough, how hard would it have been to translate it by yourself and change the syntax to match?

Edit: I tried reading that translation. Holy crap, I'm not sure even a regular english writing would save that. however, for sheer lulz, I had a good laugh at this exchange:

"feth you! You will never find a wife! You have no friends! "

"No! I have friends! "

"You have a girlfriend."

"Go!"

"Yes."

It's like the zero wing of original works.

I'm going to write an actual English translation then.

One thing about that conversation is it's supposed to say woman, not wife. The words are the same and so it leaves Google guessing.

Changing wife to woman in that snatch of conversation in no way helps it make sense

It doesn't help it for that sort of translation. The point is that the girl is making fun of the guy for not having a girlfriend and not being able to get a girl's number during any of the parties.

Please stop linking your German stories... Most of us can't read German, and as it has been said, the auto translate is crap.

How about you give us stories we can read...

Also mostly clean is different from is clean. Any language instructor would tell you that.
