Played a 2v1 (1k orks w/ Kroot allies + 1k crons vs 2k nids). It was game 3 of our campaign and was the decider! I deployed my big mek, 15 lootas, 20 Kroot, 2 krootox and etherial behind my adl in a little blob in hope to thwart the oncoming tyranid assault. Turn 1 we go first and after moving I elect to shoot my big mek first, now this is the first time I've used a SAG so I have my ally on standby reading the little table. I roll.. Snake eyes... My friends look says it all and I'm pretty sure I know what's coming next, he just tells me to roll another dice, I get a 6.. Oh god.. This proceeds to wipe 70% of my list out along with some death marks from my friends list. Game is over on turn one. Better luck next time I suppose.

I meant to put this in battle reports can I get it moved please.

And that is why I fear a race that turns a vacuum cleaner into a WMD. Had one of those sitting against my 'nids in a 1500pt game. I lost a lot of ultragaunts and devilgants when that thing went up.

"There is a cancer eating at the Imperium. With each decade it advances deeper, leaving drained, dead worlds in its wake. This horror, this abomination, has thought and purpose that functions on an unimaginable, galactic scale and all we can do is try to stop the swarms of bioengineered monsters it unleashes upon us by instinct. We have given the horror a name to salve our fears; we call it the Tyranid race, but if is aware of us at all it must know us only as Prey."

Thats why the sag isnt that competitive. Ive both had games lose because of a bad timing snakeeyes as well as a clutch boxcars. Its ultimate randomness!

An ork with an idea tends to end with a bang.

Tha is why you take cheap grots as bullet shields and leave everything outside the bubble.

But on the flipside when you start hoovering his best models with no save allowed it is worth it.

..Well I bet that you don't make that same deployment mistake again with a SAG. It's all about proximity. As Vineheart said, there is a reason it isn't super competitive, it's just too random. That is Orks though.

My first 1850 game. I had a SAG deployed. Last turn of the game it gets a Belial, four termies, and the last hull point on a land raider redeemer. I might have had the game just barely won before that.. I had it in my head to retire him immediately after that game. Too bad I didn't, next five games he managed to kill himself on turn four, and the next two games in a row he killed himself twice in a row on turn one forcing his grots off the board. Game four he scattered some ungodly strong hit like ten inches into two groups of my boyz, and game five he managed to teleport on top of a unit of biker marines (I'm new and don't know what they are) and pwn'd some sergeant (no powerklaw went full blown medival on dat 'umie hellz yeah) in a dual before offering up first blood.

My 6th game he killed a terminator.

Yeah I probably should have retired him, now I have to play 10 more games with him and hope he comes back around.

I am the kinda ork that takes his own washing machine apart, puts new bearings in it, then puts it back together, and it still works.
