Hey all, I'll be heading to my local gaming store soon to play my first game of 40K in just over 15 years. Depending on who shows up to play we'll be playing a mix of game types ranging from 1,500 to 1,750 points. This is my 1,750 points list. I have no idea what armies I'll be up against so this list has a bit of variety in it to compensate for the variety of armies and lists I'll be up against. Any and all feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

A few comments or changes

Commander - what are you planning to do with him? he has a lot of mixed range and task gear. with BS5 you dont really need a TL weapon. if hes joining a squad then maybe keep the puretide for the rules, otherwise dump it, same with the gauntlet, let him shoot tanks not punch them.

stealth - again what are your plans for these guys? possibly put a beacon on them, infiltrate and let them drop a a crisis team near them to cause problems.

Xv8 team - TL BC? meeeeh if you want lots of shots or anti-troop, maybe a plasma rifle and a flamer? flamers will deal with poor armor troops that like to hide in cover. plasma will pop sgts or characters with better armor joined to the unit.

Xv8 team 2 - I dont like mixing weapons it buggers the effectiveness of the team. if you want anti flyer possibly make this team missile pods with velocity tracker.

troops, run them way cheaper, and have more. dump the shas'ui and his goodies. daisy chain marker lights arnt the greatest and you need to have more for them to work decently. same with the devilfish, dump all the upgrades except the disruption pod.

with the points you make back a 3rd troop choice would be A GOOD idea. firewarriors on foot (in reserve) or kroot to sneak on the board.

Fast attack

if you can squeeze in another 5 man team...pathfinders die really fast and you dont want to be crippled without ML by the end of turn 2.

heavy again shave some upgrades to save points on the vehicles. possibly pad out the broadside unit with drones and a shasvre upgrade so they dont run off the table.

All in all the core looks good, just some point tweaking and shuffling to get it rocking and rolling.
