Thanks guys!
Yes its an Airbrush, Painted each window black then did a white airbrush basecoat leaving some of the black around the edges. Then I did a transition from black to blue using the minitair ghost tints (oil discharge, blue, then plasma fluid), making sure I left a white spot in the direction of the light source (for me this above and slightly to the right of the vehicle).
I got a little lazy with the one on the right, my airbrush jammed a few times and gave the spray pattern a patchy look in places. I should have stopped and cleaned it but was in a rush. I think I'll try and get around to redoing it once I finish up some more units.
I have quite a lot of this army painted at the moment, I might try and show all of it in the thread when I get some time.

Haha, yeah I didn't realise that I had put the wings on one of them the wrong way around until I was half way through doing the airbrush shading

. Rather than rip them off I just left it, the good thing about it is they can be side by side in pictures now without the wings pushing them apart.
I was tossing up between what I've done and painting the interiors and leaving the canopies as clear glass but I settled on doing the blue to add a contrasting colour, I don't have much to contrast all the yellow and red in the army at this stage and I'm going to try use the blue on plasma weapons and glass tints to add it in. Hopefully when I get whole army shots up I can change your mind!

I seem to get this sort of comment a lot on things I paint, something on the mini is a little extreme or "garish" and people either love it or hate it haha. I think it’s just become part of my paint style now

. Maybe one day I’ll get to a happy medium between the two

. Appreciate the feedback!
