105: Farseer with singing spear
160: 10 Dire Avengers (Exarch, power maul and shimmershield)
105: 10 Guardians (shuriken cannon)
145: Wave Serpent (twin-linked scatter lasers, shuriken cannon, holo-fields)
122: 6 Windriders (2 shuriken cannons)
60: 5 Rangers
95: 5 Warp Spiders
121: 6 Swooping Hawks (Exarch, sunrifle)
180: Crimson Hunter (Exarch)
195: 5 Dark Reapers (Exarch, tempest launcher, Fast Shot, Night Vision)
70: War Walker (scatter laser, starcannon)
140: Fire Prism (holo-fields)
= 1498
The Guardian's will be in the Wave Serpent. I've heard a lot of criticism about Dark Reapers and Crimson Hunters. I want to get my point score up, but are they so bad I should give them a miss?
What do you think?

Why are you taking both dire avengers and guardians in your list? Just making sure you have a reason to be using both choices in your army. I honestly don't think they synergise well together.
-Nevermind, you answered my question. Waveserpent. Gotchya.
I personally don't think exarchs are worth it. Perhaps the dark reaper exarch, as I don't know enough about using them to comment. Reapers are a lot of points in 5 MEQ wounds, though.
Aside from all this, the list honestly looks fine. I don't know enough about using crimson hunters to really give you much advice on them, but I think the thing that it would really excel at is taking down other fighters. That said, for less points you could dump on another 2 SL StC warwalkers and put guide on them.

Hey, thanks for your advice! From what I know the Dark Reapers are going to be feared by MEQs all over, so I gave them a tempest launcher.
I was saving the guide for DAs and Guardians, because they just wreck anything when they get in range. Maybe I will get a War Walker with the same loadout soon, but I don't wanna paint another one Anyway, I would never guide a SL+ SC War Walker, it's only guiding the scatter laser
Thank you again for the feedback!

Sounds good. Guide only really becomes an option, like I said, if you were going to have 3 in a squad.
Guiding 12 is probably worth it. Also, remember, 4 shots per model with the SL first hitting on 6s... the StC won't necessarily be TL.
Still, things to consider. If you're going to keep your crimson hunter at the least you aren't going to need the extra anti-air.

Dark reapers worked excellent for me in my last tournament. Had 5 of them, but instead of so many exarch skills(only had fast shot) I took also S8 missiles. With guide they swatted down flyers, tanks, marines...pretty much everything. Sure, at roughly 200 points they are expensive MEQ wounds, but since they can now move and shoot, they're even better at hanging at sidelines and shooting thingies.
Crimson Hunters are sure way to get any flyer down. Just without autarch you need to hope you get second turn or your c.hunters arrive later than enemy aircrafts. Properly used, they can easily keep your enemy either trying to outmaneuver your flyer(which is annoyingly hard because of vector dancer), or get shot down, making opponent waste their flyer potential. Unfortunately, even bolters drop them, so you must have more important targets to keep your flyer flying.
5 rangers all on their own doesn't do a thing. Tested. Or well, they CAN hunker down at objective and go to ground when anything farts in their general direction.
I'd swap rangers for another war walker, dark reapers to 4(without tempest launcher) and get them their starshot missiles. They still fire ze missilez 5 times fue to fast shot, or 9 times to take our any MEQ.
Oh, and with a leftover 10 points, drop singing spear from farseer and give her a bike. Farseers like bikes.
But that's my 5 cents. Take it as you will.

I'm using Rangers because I already have them. Sure, they aren't optimal but they look sweet and, I just like playing with them.
I would put the farseer on a bike, but I don't want to proxy my plastic farseer on the guardian weapon platform xD But thank you for the feedback, I shall buy the Dark Reapers and Crimson Hunter without regret! I will also find space for starshot missiles.

Crimson hunter is amazing. At killing fliers.
Crimson hunter sucks. At surviving.
Is it worth it.... Depends on how you play it. :/
Rangers get an objective easy peasy going to ground... But they do absolutely 0 damage output.
I use two squads generally.
