"I'm Still Alive" by Stratovarius. It's a metal song, so listen at your own risk. That said it's the closest I've heard to upbeat happy metal (instead of just metal that makes me happy because I like it), if that actually makes any sense at all.
Or else "so happy together" by the Turtles. That's one of my guilty pleasure songs, tucked in among all the dance and metal. Special place in my childhood, but it's a fun song for anybody.

I never listen to songs I know will lift my spirits when I'm sad; that would make sense, and I don't do sense when I'm sad.
Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I don't get depressed.
I don't think it's because I don't get 'sad', I think it's just because I don't dwell on it, the emotion pokes it head in, says 'hi' and gets told to sod off.
I've got better things to do than dwell on the negative things.
I've not heard of most of those bands - and I don't need to be depressed to listen to David Lee Roth or Europe.
As DLR once said - there's only TWO rules in life:
1). Don't sweat the little gak.
2). It's ALL little gak, so let's party!
Now he may have had his own psych issues and this attitude was an overcompensation reflex, but it works for me.
I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.
That is not dead which can eternal lie ...
... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Something violently happy, cause when I get depressed, I stop being depressed and get a brass section instead:
Thank you for this. I have been looking for a new ska band that isn't reggae influenced.
Glad to help, unfortunately, anything made since they got back together has been REALLY lackluster. They got a new singer, and IMO went downhill. Rump Shaker and their EP were excellent though.
