So i have been surfing the inter webs and ive come across alot of the new spacemarine stuff but one thing that still has not been confirmed is the Fate of the Black templars however there are clues.

1. there will be 7 special editions of the space marine codex each with a different chapter.
- ultramarines
-imperial fists
- crimson fists
- salamanders
-white scars
- raven guard
- ?????????black templars ?????????????

2. the next white dwarf showcasing the new space marines has a battle report of black templa's vs chaos space marines with chaos daemons allies.

until any of this is released on GW's site its all rumour but i feel that with the information given so far i think black templars will be included in the space marine codex.

what do you think ???

Hopefully it will be *in* the book and not one of the ridiculous supplements.

Could it be SM with BT allies?

My Ultra Templars will be on EBay if anybody wants them.

I think rolling BT into the Codex "could" be a good thing. IF GW gives enough options to run vanilla, BT classic, and lets you pick something inbetween. If I could have some of the brutality of the BT, yet retain DS sternguard... that's an awesome CF or IF force. I'm all for more options, and if bring BT playstyle to the SM codex does that.... Great!

BTW, called this the day 6th released, go ahead, check me on it.

By your argument, DA BA and SW should be in there too. And theyre not.

I wouldn't be surprised if next time (7th edition) they do the space marine codex, its all one dex, and then BT, DA, SW, etc, all get supplements, But IF they are bringing more than just Ultras (ie: IF and Salamanders, maybe IH too) to the vanilla dex, then having their successors folded into too, would work. Fluff-wise, the BT are second founding... DA, BA, and SW are all 1st. I don't think BA need a different dex either, but I'm sure they'll get it (touch of Ward and all).

I think your Limited Edition Codex list is wrong. I'm betting Iron Hands over Crimson Fists. IF the Crimson Fists get a LE codex, then it'll be them instead of the Templars.

But yes, it looks like Templars went back home. That means only 15 Codexes in the mix instead of 16 (counting Sisters), which has three effects:

1. Templars will get an update every edition.
2. One less book means the schedule is a little less cramped now.
3. It's one less Marine book. Only need to roll in a few more (or bring back Angels of Death as a book again at least)and the schedule would be even faster.
