I'm playing in the 40k GT at the NOVA Open at the end of the month and taking a Tzeentch Daemon army. The list will have Fateweaver and 2 Flying Tzeentch Daemon Princes. For Fateweaver, I'm going to use the Ultraforge "The Vrok" model, but I decided to convert my own Daemon Princes with a couple of kit bashes and some green stuff (a lot for one of them).

The first one is a mixture of the new High Elf Phoenix and the Daemon Prince boxes. The head and wings are the flaming variety from the Phoenix box. I also took the flying feet from the Phoenix and swapped them in to the Daemon Prince legs. I then utilized the flying stand to have the model in flight. The wings were obviously bigger than the stock Daemon Prince wings and have a different way to connect to the body, so the toughest work was on that part along with a little modeling of feathers and flaming bits. For the staff, I used a Tzeentch icon on top of a cylindrical plasticard piece from GF9.

The second one is a mixture of the Griffon from the Karl Franz box and the Daemon Prince box. I utilized the dual head, wings and feet from the Griffon and meshed it with the Daemon Prince similar to the first conversion. This time I had to use a lot of green stuff to make it work. The head was way too big from the Daemon Prince body, so I added some girth and then modeled the feathers one by one to give the layered look. I added at the end a spare imperial guardsman to the clawed foot in the air to give it a little more flare.

Now to paint them!
