Greetings everyone, I just recently started my first army, Daemons of Chaos. I purchased the hard cover codex and the main rule book. I am at a loss, the specs for my troops are totally different! On top of that it doesn't display units like the Daemonetts Allures model. Do I use the stats under the main rule book or out of my codex? If I use the stats out of the rule book, is the Allures or the Bloodreaper even in the game anymore? I am sorry if this is a question that is asked frequently, but I've been searching for a few dats and the only thing I have come a crossed is a White Dwarf issue with Changes to Daemons Of Chaos. To sum it up, Are the rules in the main rulebook the updated stats from that white dwarf magazine? Do the Bloodreaper and Allures still exist or have they been removed. This has been quite a frustration due to the purchase of a $50 codex that Im not sure if it even has the proper rules in it. Thank you for your time

It is a 6th edition codex. Purchased it from my local wargaming store.

Ok that makes sense, but why doesnt my codex go over daemonic assault? do you no longer have to deep strike your entire force?

When rulebook came out, Chaos Daemons codex was still an old(5th ed.) version, so rulebook has the 5th edition statlines. Since then Chaos daemons have got a new book.

Always always follow the codex first, so said Primarch Guilliman.

So yeah, no more daemonic assault.
