I'm going to a local tournament tomorrow. We're playing 4 rounds on 4x4 tables with 1000 points. It's going to be my first time out with these guys so let me know what you think!

HQ:
Cadre Fireblade

Elites:
Riptide with Ion Accelerator, TL Fusion Blaster, Early Warning Detection, Velocity Tracker

Troops:
8x Fire Warriors with Pulse Rifles, Sgt upgrade
8x Fire Warriors with Pulse Rifles (Fireblade goes into this unit)
19x Kroot with Sniper Rounds

Fast Attack:
7x Pathfinders

Heavy Support:
3x Broadside suits with HYMP, 3x MIssile Drones, 2x Target Lock, 1x Early Warning System

Fortification:
Aegis Defense Line w/ Quad Gun.

Total Points: 1000

The Cadre Fireblade will be manning the quad gun with his BS5 and split fire while providing the leadership and extra pulse shot to his squad. The Kroot infiltrate and start putting rounds down range, hopefully rending wounds off of units like the Wraithknight and making a unit that NEEDS to be shot at, preferably giving my Tau an extra round of shooting.

What do you guys think?

Units with 8 men are bad, two wounds makes you have to take an LD check, while 9 allows you an extra body before taking LD checks.

The Riptide can't be a giant death robot, its completely lacking a sword or massive chainsaw. All giant death robots have swords or massive chainsaws.
