After a disastrous attempt at painting my Thallax the first time around they ended up living far at the back ontop of my cabinet for a month or so unable to be seen by anyone, however with the new Mechanicus coming out I felt a pang of guilt at having left these guys to rot and dug them out to give painting them another shot.

Here is one of my test models that I'm quite happy with how he turned out, obviously still needs basing and decals but as a basic scheme I think it pulls together quite well:

The heads look fantastic. What did you do to them? I'm guessing a gloss varnish finish, but how did you get the red colour?

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!
