I have been playing 40k for many years now and have started thinking about starting fantasy. I have been thinking about starting a lizardmen army and have heard good things about them, but am not sure whether i should get the blood island starter box to learn the rules or just buy the lizardmen battalion. I also like skaven, but am unsure of what people think is a more fun army to play, lizardmen or skaven. Would appreciate anyones opinions on the best way to get into the game.

For start you can snatch rulebook from e-bay and try to proxy army with papers etc. ...or you can buy IoB,you would have rulebook with some models already, that you can easily try out Skaven and if you will not like them, you can easily sell both IoB armies and still keep rulebook and accessories without any significant lose of money.
Pick one which you fancy more.

I'd say pick the army you like the army you like best and go from there.
If you are unsure, borrow someone's army to see if you like the mechanics. Fantasy is a great game quite a bit different to 40k.

Dissent is not disloyalty.
Everyone is a genius, but if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree it will spend its whole life thinking it is stupid.
