I am painting Krannon from the DV set and I got his cape painted really well and the paint scratches off easily
I am using folkart paint for poverty reasons lol
Am I doing something wrong? I didn't prime the model either I just painted on the plastic
Thanks all

not priming could very well be the issue. Primer gives tooth for the paint to grip onto and stay in place.

Oh stop complaining, its for the greater good... Now get in the box!

Yep. Not priming is the issue dude. You can save your work by varnishing it ASAP, otherwise you're going to see the paint rubbing off at an alarming rate

If money is a problem then use Krylon primers, I use the black primer and actually I would use it if I was filthy rich. It's really a good primer. I use black or gray.
Your question has already been answered though, another thought is wash all models after you build them, and then avoid touching the model even with clean hands. I use wine bottle corks with a bit of blue sticky putty used for hanging posters, I just stick the model to it and then I don't have to hold the base or touch the model. Primer is the big issue you have though. You spent all that time painting the model just to have it flake or scratch off, save up for the primer, it will be worth it. As for washing the models, use an old tooth brush and the dishwashing soap, give it a good scrub down and a really good rinse.

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you and to hear the lamentations of the women.

Make sure that it's actually primer, not normal spraypaint. It'll make the surface glossy and the paint will have a hard time sticking on it.
