Hi Dakka. Thanks for your patience. This is the third revision I have done to my LineCrusher list.

Here is what it does: The list has 8 units barreling like gangbusters towards the enemy turn 1. The idea is to overwhelm the enemy with fast attackers in hopes they can't stop them enough of them before the next turn 2. Turn 2 assault is crucial for this list to succeed. By turn 3 the CSMs and Berzerkers (w/ 2nd chaos lord) should be ready to support assaults or clean up scraps and then grab forward objectives. The plague bearers and cultists are to be kept in reserves so to walk onto rear objectives late game.

I would love to hear any comments, suggestions or critique. You won't hurt my feelings so please reply and have your thoughts heard.

This new revision added a cheap as chips chaos lord to the berzerkers. But I had to reduce the size of my Nurgle Bikers , which I hate. And I had to take away one greater gift from the Thirster (sucks) and a couple of berzerker bodies (no biggie considering they get a lord in return).

Do you think this list can do the job of winning against other tournament lists?

I keep hearing that and I have no reason not to believe you. But I have no experience with the new Demon codex. I see the hounds have 2 wounds and they are beasts but otherwise fairly normal space marine stat line. Am I missing anything? What is the reason they are so good right now?

They get to move 12" before the game even starts, Move 12" without getting slowed by anything other than other units (you have now entered the enemies deployment zone), run d6 with reroll (fleet), and next turn you get another 12" move before you get a re-rollable charge. So even if you didn't run t1, you moved 36", meaning nearly every inch of the board is within your charge range on t2. You can get just about anywhere by t2 and charge it, with tons of wounds and your save can't be stripped away. You get all that for a mere 16 points a model. That's 8 points per T4 wound, with insane speed. If assault marines were this cheap, they would be fielded in droves. No way you will ever see a 8 point marine do things like that. The only thing they don't have is grenades.

I'm convinced. Flesh Hounds would work great in this list. Problem is I would have to cut current units to get the points for the Hounds. I've considered swapping the Bloodthirster or Nurgle Bikers for Hounds but I would be giving up a tough as nails unit to do so. Even considered dropping the Heldrake but it is just too useful.

Any suggestions on what to drop to get the Flesh Hounds?

Edit:

Actually I have now decided that the Nurgle Bikers would be best replaced by 14 Hounds. That is 7 wounds turning into 28 wounds. That is also tough as nails.
I won't miss the metlas considering I have 3 maulerfiends and other units that can handle vehicles.

What about dropping 6 CCW from the CSM squad to give your cultists autoguns instead?
They seem as defensive objective grabbers so this would give them an enhanced presence on the field, supporting your advance or just shooting overwatch on deep strikers?
Your CSM probably won't be needing all the weapons anyway, so it seems a more reasonable choice.
Otherwise the list looks good to me and it will definitely cause some havoc when it goes into assault mode on turn 2.
