My buddy plays with ravenwing knights + ravenwing grenade launcher, and often uses Rad shells vs my army.
My question is as follows (assume the shell hit the unit); at what point does the -1 toughness come into effect? Does it happen before the rest of the unit fires, making it easier for them? Or do all the shots impact the target at the same time?

I look at it like markerlights; it hit with that unit's attacks, therefore units AFTER the unit with the grenade launcher can take advantage of it.

Whereas my buddy says "because the person doing the shooting decides which attacks are saved against first, they clearly happen NOT all at once, and the rad shell drops toughness immediately before anyone else IN THE SAME UNIT shoots."

Any rules to support an answer?

IT says unit hit by, so when you come to wound has the Rad 'nade hit?.

As stated above a Rad shell requires a unit to be hit to take the -1 T penalty.

Then after you have hit (and thus applied the penalty) you roll to wound.

You can't compare them to marker lights because the rules are different.

Yes, Rad grenades drop the toughness before rolling to wound.

All shots are taken, Rad shell is hit, plus some bike shots are hit. then rad shell says -1T on hit, so thats true, move to wounding phase, all biker shots roll to wound vs the -1T.
