Hi Dakka,
I've had a look through the rules and FAQ and can't come up with a definitive answer unless I am missing something, here's my question;
Can a Tervigon that arrives my Outflank/Reserve spawn on the same turn?
Thanks
EdO

No. You must spawn before moving. Moving on from reserves is moving.

Hive Commander from the HT allows a troops choice to outflank. Can be useful in some games. (not that I've ever done it though)
But as above, spawning is before moving so no gaunts the turn it comes in.

the problem with outflanking a tervigon is you lose a turn of free termagants and most likely it would be outflanking on its own unless you add some genestealers of have something deep strike with it
and even if you get some good biomancy rolls with it you would have to wait a full turn to use with it
BUT
if you do want to outflank a tervigon try this; just get toxin sacs, swap to cluster spines and swap out it's dominion power for psychic scream
then give one of your termagant troops a spore and then upgrade the spore with cluster spines and if you can spare the points make them devilgants too
so now with the HT ability they will most likely come on the board turn 2 and together and no matter which side your tervigon comes out from it will have back up
and a good amount of shots and templates

It is (situationally) very useful to outflank a Tervigon. 80% of the time its better not to, but I always consider it. However, its good to note that by the rules of Catalyst, you cast it AFTER moving and so can do it after outflanking. If you're planning (in list building) to outflank a Tervigon, then give it just Catalyst and Toxin/Adrenal (maybe CC).

Thanks for the ideas guys.
I already spore 3 x 2 Zoanathropes and was thinking about sporing 20 devilgaunts too.
I might give it a whirl this weekend.
Thanks

During 5th, with lots of Guard still running parking lots, I found it very useful. 6th not as much, but it is still a good way to but gaunts down field with some safety, vs slogging them down through fire.

It is also a good way to go for a remotely located objective in certain situations. As was stated, Catalyst with the S5 pie plate is the way to go with this guy.
