Whatever is supposedly chasing the nids.

960,000 years is plenty of time to escalate to Grimdark++

The darkness between the stars

As the true grimdark parody it is.... Nobody wins. Everyone dies at the same time whenever the Tyranids, Necrons, Chaos, etc carve their way into holy terra and all unite into one horrific entity that blows up and destroys the universe grimdark end.

What about Daemonic Tyranids ridden by orks that are there because of a piggy-back eldar being stabbed by a dark eldar a space marine chasing after whilst a necron is combining them all together by secretly being a levetating platform. Oh and pathfinder guns along the side

They are manifestations of humanity/eldar. If the Nids ate everyone, the gods would cease to exist.

I have hopes for the orks and the kids neutralizing each other,
and the imperium and chaos neutralizing each other,
then the necrons wake up and try finishing them all off..
In the mean time the tau come thru year later with even more advanced weaponry and take out the rest...
